Shoppers and retailers alike are looking forward to Black Friday 2017! Some retailers are even jumping the gun by holding their sales on Thanksgiving Day. Know ahead of time who’s open when so you don’t wind up on the evening news after getting into a purse slapping fight with another shopper over the last Zoomer Enchanted Unicorn!
Many stores are keeping a tight lip for now on when they’ll be open. Only BJ’s Wholesale Club, Harbor Freight Tools, Hobby Lobby and Staples have officially confirmed their hours. All four stores will be closed on Thanksgiving. BJ’s Wholesale Club, Staples and Harbor Freight will open Black Friday at 7am. Hobby Lobby will open at 8am.
If your tryptophan induced nap means you’re too wired to sleep the night after Thanksgiving, maybe take the opportunity to buy some new toys! Toys R Us and their auxiliary Babies R Us are in desperate need to get back in black and plan to get there via a 30 hour straight shop-a-thon. The stores are projected to open at 5pm on Thanksgiving and stay open overnight until 11pm on Black Friday.
Macy’s will likewise burn the midnight oil staying open between 5pm and 2am, taking four hours to restock before opening again at 6am.
The bad little kids are getting coal for Christmas, but the good little kids are getting Kohl’s for Christmas! They will open their stores at 5pm on Thanksgiving and are offering some incredible doorbuster deals. They first of all plan on making it rain with $15 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent. The Haier 55 inch 4K HDTV is sure to sell out quickly at only $299.99. Sony has once more upgraded the PlayStation! The 4 1TB console can be yours for just $199.99. And that’s just the tip of the savings iceberg!
Not everyone is into the whole shopping on Thanksgiving craze, though. With the popularity of on-line shopping and most people just wanting to be home with the family, many stores such as Burlington Coat Factory, Academy Sports and Outdoors, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Sierra Trading Post are staying closed on Thanksgiving, to better warm up for the madness that will be coming the next day. Once it’s all over, everyone can kick back and enjoy the weekend- and then it’s Cyber Monday!
