Cyber Monday Top Saving Tips for 2019

Now that the fall season is underway, everyone is getting their schedules ready for the holidays. Shopping for gifts is one of the most stressful parts of this process, as it can be difficult to find good deals on popular items. However, there are a few ways that you can make your life easier and save a lot of money at the same time.

As you probably know, Cyber Monday occurs on the Monday following Thanksgiving (December 02nd, 2019), and is perhaps the best opportunity to save money on gifts for the holiday season. While Black Friday is a day when thousands of people descend on retail stores to take advantage of low prices, Cyber Monday is all about online shopping.

In order to make the most of the day’s great deals, let’s take a look at our top tips to save money on Cyber Monday:

Do Your Research Beforehand

If you want to find great deals on a given product, you’ll need to know its usual market value. To do this, you will need to do research about prices before Cyber Monday arrives.

This way, when you’re shopping on the day, you can quickly and easily identify great deals. Comparing price changes will let you know exactly how much you are saving.

Use Cash-back Websites

A cash-back website pays back users a small portion of their purchase via affiliate links. This is a really easy way to save a little bit extra on everything you buy. While the savings will not be huge, they will help lower prices even further on Cyber Monday.

You can check out TopCashBack, one of our favorite cash-back site. They have some of the highest cash-back in the industry, a variety of payout options (PayPal, ACH, Visa, Gift Cards, etc).

As you can see from the screenshot above, I have personally earned a little over $1,000 with TopCashBack. I have never had any issues with them and payments have always been made.

Use Cash-back Credit Cards

Many banks offer credit cards that give you special cash-back deals on certain purchases. For example, if you buy an item from a certain retail chain or an item that falls within a certain category of products, you get back a small percentage of the purchase price.

Some credit cards, known as cash-back credit cards even give back a small percentage (usually 1%) of every purchase. However, banks and cash-back credit cards will higher their percentage of cash-back during the holidays. Be sure to check with your bank or credit card company for cash-back offers.

Look for Online Coupons

You’d be surprised how many online coupons and discount codes go unused every day. Many online stores won’t automatically add coupon codes at checkout, so you will probably need to hunt them down yourself.

You can easily find coupons and promo codes using websites or by doing quick online search using the store name along with terms such as coupon, promo code, offers, etc.

Check for Free Shipping

A handful of retailers waived their minimum purchase order for free shipping during last year’s Cyber Monday sale to entice shoppers.

This year, even more businesses are expected to take part in this trend. Any other day of the year, shipping can add 5%, 10%, or even more to your final purchase price if you don’t meet their free shipping minimum .

Check for Store Rewards

Many retail chains offer reward programs for members. If you frequently shop at a particular chain, consider becoming a member and taking advantage of these deals. Typically, members get special prices on Cyber Monday that are not available to the general public.

Check for In-Store Pick-Up Discounts

Generally, stores don’t make much (if any) money off on shipping. In fact, retail stores need to invest in labor and logistics just to get items delivered to your door.

As a result, many Cyber Monday deals will cut a little extra off the price if you’re willing to make your purchase online and go to the store to pick it up.

Sign Up for Retailer Newsletters

You may think that retailer newsletters are just one more thing clogging up your email inbox, but they can actually have a lot of really useful information.

For example, these newsletters may contain special promo codes on select items. Additionally, you can find useful information and links to help save you time while navigating a retailer’s website.

The majority of online retailers, will send you a 10%, 15% or more coupon offer just by signing up to their newsletter.

There you have it! These are the top tips to help you save money on Cyber Monday. Good luck!
