Across America, consumers excited to be only 3 week’s away from the shopping event of the year, the Black Friday & Cyber Monday weekend. It is the saving event that families plan for with the same enthusiasm as they plan the holiday dinner.
As the days get closer consumer watch to what the big deals will be from the 3 most anticipated retailers: Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy. These days, Amazon leads the way in big news for the online community. When can we expect to see their announcements?
Walmart is leading the season announcements with an interesting rollout. The Opening Act Holiday Sale is a gradual publication of the deals for the season. Additional items will be added regularly up through Black Friday. The sale started on November 1st. The highlighted items do not necessarily reflect deeply discounted prices but they are some of the most sought-after items of the year.
Walmart will have free 2-day shipping for orders over $35 or free in-store pickup. One of the standout deals so far is for the HP Pavilion Gaming laptop. At $849, this unit has a backlit keyboard and a 1TB hard drive. Walmart no longer has guaranteed in-store price matching policy, and the online price match policy does not apply to Black Friday/Cyber Monday purchases. Based on past years’ release dates International Business Times predicts that the real Walmart Black Friday ad will be released on November 9th.
Best Buy is possible the most anticipated because of their constantly great deals on computers and electronics. Whether it is a gift or something for home, it is always a great time to plan major electronic purchases. The International Business Times predicts that the Black Friday ad will be released on November 9th, with stores opening at 5:00 am on Black Friday.
In Best Buy tradition, expect to see the latest 4K HDTV technology, high memory laptops, and the latest in gaming system bundles. Free shipping has started and will go on through December 25th. Best Buy shares information about best shopping strategies, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but in a trending twist, Thanksgiving Day store hours are not shown at this time listed.
Amazon is featuring their Countdown to Black Friday event. Like Walmart, they will add highlighted specials until Black Friday.
