Black Friday 2018 Ad & Deals: Walmart & Best Buy Predictions

SHARE

And they’re off! Retailers have started there deals race for this year’s Black Friday 2018 event. Black Friday is quickly approaching and major retailers such as Target, Kohls, Macy’s, etc. have already released their Black Friday Ad Scans.

However, we are still waiting for two of the biggest retailers, Best Buy and Walmart, to release their Black Friday 2018 Ad circular.

We predict that both Best Buy and Walmart’s Black Friday 2018 sale details and ads will be leaked tomorrow.

Best Buy has already confirmed, in a Press Release, that they will offer free shipping with no minimum purchase order until Christmas Day.

Walmart, however, has decided to follow its own plan. They will continue to offer their same shipping policies – Free Shipping on orders of $35 or more.

Today, I will be sharing my predictions and expected Black Friday deals for 2018 from Best Buy and Walmart. These predictions are based on last year’s Black Friday data and from previous ad scans.

Best Buy Black Friday 2018 Ad & Deals Predictions

Best Buy Black Friday Deals for 2018 will the biggest yet!

Best Buy opened its doors for last year’s Black Friday event at 5 pm on Thanksgiving Day. I believe that Best Buy will continue that tradition and will open again on Thanksgiving Day 11/22/18 at 5 pm. I don’t see them opening later than that, especially since the majority of retailers who have released their Black Friday Ads for 2018 will open at 5 pm.

Best Buy’s lowest price for a 50″ 4K Smart TV was $179.99. We should definitely see a good sized 4K TV for under $200 and a 55″ 4K TV for under $300.

You should expect Best Buy to continue to push their TV brand “Insignia” for Black Friday 2018.

As far as OLED TVs, I personally don’t see Best Buy offering any discounts or deals in their Ad Scan.

The Samsung 11.6″ Chromebook was deeply discounted with a sale tag of $99 – making it one of the cheapest laptops during last year’s Black Friday sale. Will we see another laptop for under $100? We shall see!

Best Buy didn’t have any Xbox One X game consoles on sale; whereas Walmart had at least one. I do expect them to advertise a few Xbox One X game consoles as well as a few more PS4 bundles this year around.

As far as gaming accessories, I see Best Buy matching Target’s Black Friday 2018 prices on the PS4 & Xbox One DualShock Wireless Controller of $39.99 each.

I do believe Best Buy will have better overall prices on Xbox One & PS4 video games and headsets.

Last year, Best Buy offered up to $200 off on the Apple iPhone 8 and Apple iPhone 8 Plus (Qualified Activation). Target’s recently leaked Black Friday 2018 ad showcases a $250 Target Gift Card with a qualified activation on the iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max.

Best Buy will most likely offer up to $300 off on select iPhone models with a qualified activation.

You should also see Best Buy offering good discounts on Samsung tablets and phones.

Other Black Friday 2018 deals expected from Best Buy:

  • Beats by Dre
  • MacBook Air
  • iPad Mini
  • 2-In-1 Laptops and Gaming Laptops & accessories
  • 4K Movies
  • Small & Major Appliances
  • Best Buy Gift Cards on select products

Walmart Black Friday 2018 Ad & Deals Predictions

The Walmart Black Friday 2018 Sale will be huge

Walmart started their Black Friday event last year in-store on Thanksgiving Day at 6 pm. Like Best Buy, I see Walmart starting earlier for this year’s sale at about 5 pm on Thanksgiving Day. As far as online Black Friday deals go, Walmart will most likely make the deals available on Friday 11/23/18 at Walmart.com.

During last year’s Black Friday sale, Walmart did not do the 1-hour guarantee. The 1-hour guarantee is mainly for doorbusters which guarantee the customer the item or doorbuster for 1 hour. If it goes out of stock within that hour, Walmart will give you a rain check for that item at the doorbuster price.

I know many customers will like for Walmart to bring back the 1-hour guarantee for Black Friday 2018 but I personally don’t see Walmart doing it.

On the other hand, Walmart Black Friday deals for 2018 should be interesting. They had the 39″ Smart TV for $125 and a Sharp 55″ 4K Smart TV for $299.99 during last year’s Black Friday sale. I expect Walmart to not only have a few HDTVs for under $150 but I think we are going to see a 40″ TV at exactly $100 for Black Friday 2018.

Also, Walmart has been advertising Samsung QLED TVs since the start of their “Early Black Friday Access” sale, which went LIVE about a week ago. We may see one Samsung QLED TV advertised in Walmart’s upcoming Black Friday Ad.

As far as OLED TVs, I’m on the fence because Walmart had a few OLED TVs discounted in the last several months. It can go either way, but I won’t be shocked to see an OLED TV on sale from Walmart for Black Friday 2018.

We may see $100 – $300  Walmart Gift Card on select Apple or Samsung phones with qualifying activation.

I don’t see Walmart coming down on the Nintendo Switch price just yet. However, you could expect Xbox One S, Xbox One X & PS4 game console deals from Walmart. Also, select Xbox One and PS4 video games should be discounted.

Other Black Friday 2018 deals expected from Walmart:

  • Roku Streaming Devices
  • Chromebooks from HP and Samsung
  • iPads & Samsung Galaxy Tablet
  • Toys
  • Home Goods
  • Small appliances
