Ready, get set, GO! It’s just about that time for the biggest shopping days of the year. Black Friday 2017 is only days away and while some stores are opening early for Black Friday, others are pushing back and opening during normal business hours.
Let’s take a look at what stores will be opening their doors early.
Walmart is keeping its tradition of opening its doors on Thanksgiving day. Since 1988 the retail giant has been open 24 hours on Thanksgiving day and this year will be no different.
However, the tremendous cost-cutting sales do not begin until 6 pm Thanksgiving evening and extend all day Friday while supplies last. People generally begin filing in the store an hour or so beforehand to find the items they want.
Target marks its sixth year in a row of opening its doors early for Black Friday, as well. The competitive retailer will have 1000’s of doorbuster deals beginning at 6 pm Thanksgiving evening.
They will close at midnight and then reopen again at 6 am allowing shoppers to get a bit of sleep. However, many stores will be open all night.
If you’re in the market for electronics, you can get a bit of a head start at Best Buy. They will be doing things a little differently by opening their doors at 5 pm and staying open until 1 am.
They will hand out tickets for their fantastic doorbuster’s event at 3 pm. So, you may need to head over right after an early meal. The store will reopen again on Black Friday at 8 am.
Kmart is opening on Thanksgiving at 6 pm and won’t close until Black Friday at 10 pm. That means they will be open all night. They will continue to offer doorbusters the entire time.
For department store shopping, you’ll find JCPenney stores opening on Thanksgiving afternoon at 2 pm and will remain open until 10 pm the following evening. Shoppers will have their choice of times to shop but the early bird gets the prize.
A limited number of shoppers will receive a $500 off coupon, $100 off coupon, or $10 or more off coupon. It may be worth letting dinner sit for a deal like that.
Dick’s Sporting Goods
For the sport’s lover in the family, you may want to head over to Dick’s Sporting Goods. The sporting retailer is opening its doors on Thanksgiving evening at 6 pm and will stay open until 2 am. After a brief close, Dick’s will reopen again at 5 am on Black Friday.
Most Macy’s stores will open their doors at 5 pm on Thursday, Thanksgiving day and close at 2 am. They reopen again on Black Friday at 6 am. Enjoy reduced prices on hundreds of items from 5 pm Thanksgiving until Friday at 1 pm.
While shoppers prepare to head into the next week, it looks like stores are pulling out the stops in terms of hours and days to allow customers to take full advantage of the markdowns on holiday gift items. Everyone should be able to find many great deals on the things they want.
