Now, purchasing an HDTV can be an exciting yet difficult task, especially if you are on a budget or are looking for the best HDTV with all the latest gadgets. However, no need to worry because we will be listing the best After Christmas TV Sales as well as giving you helpful tips on choosing the right HDTV.

Now there are few questions you will need to ask yourself and figure out before plunging into purchasing an HDTV.

The first question is one of the most important ones – what is your budget? Your budget is very important; it’s your guideline to the type of HDTV that you will be able to afford. Whether it’s an LCD, LCD/LED or Plasma, prices will vary severely. It also determines the type and amount of the latest upgrades that will be within reach for your money – internet ready, 3D, 240 Hz, 1080p, it all comes at a price.

Note that the Plasma TV has declined in model types as well as prices. On the other hand, LCD/ LED is the most expensive out of the three technologies.  This doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to afford an LCD/ LED HDTV. Statistics have shown that, over the past few years, LCD/LEDs have been getting cheaper and more affordable to the consumer – which is a good thing.  And don’t forget about the LCD, which is the cheapest and the most affordable out of the bunch. The LCDs are more sought-after by consumers because they have a closer technology to an LED than Plasma and because they also can come with most of the perks of an LED at a much lower price than LED.

The next question many consumers don’t put too much thought into is about the “SIZE” of the HDTV. Size is very important – here is some general information that I took from our main HDTV site.

“Choosing the right TV size involves considering the viewing distance from the screen to where you’re seated (in inches) and dividing the distance by two (at the most, by 2.5). Salespeople will recommend dividing it by 1.5 since they want bigger sets to get sold; however, setting 2.5 as the benchmark will make you choose a screen size slightly lower than that required. Do 2.5 if the room is indeed small.”

Things Consumers Sometimes Overlook When Purchasing an HDTV.

Over the last several years of listing TV deals and writing about HDTVs, the most common commentaries I’ve read were about the audio system of the HDTV.  You must not overlook the quality of the speakers when purchasing an HDTV.  Know the difference between TruVolume, Surround Sound and Stereo. Now you can also purchase sound bars separately if the audio of the HDTV is not to your liking.

Another topic that gets overlooked is the Inputs/Outputs. Make sure you know what inputs/outputs you’ll need and what you will not be using.  Whether it’s Components, HDMIs, Video, Audio, PC, RGB, etc., make sure you know what inputs/outputs an HDTV has before purchasing.
